At Viewpoint Christian Academy, our academic program is designed to provide students with a flexible, mastery-based education grounded in a Biblical worldview. At ViewPoint Christian Academy, we believe that true education is built upon understanding, growth, and mastery. Our Mastery-Based Education model is designed to ensure that every student fully comprehends the material they are learning before advancing to the next level. Rather than focusing simply on time spent in the classroom, we focus on meaningful learning, academic confidence, and long-term success.
Through our individualized approach, each student is carefully placed at the appropriate level in every subject area, providing them with a strong educational foundation on which to build future achievement. We recognize that every child learns differently and at their own pace, and our program is designed to support both students who need additional time and those who are ready to accelerate beyond traditional grade expectations.
The curriculum at ViewPoint Christian Academy is divided into 10 to 12 units throughout the academic year, with comprehensive testing at the completion of each unit. Students are expected to achieve a minimum score of 80% in order to demonstrate mastery and competency of the material before progressing forward. This process ensures that students develop a clear understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing information temporarily.
Our mastery-based philosophy reflects the belief that learning is the constant, while time becomes the variable. Students are given the opportunity to fully grasp concepts without the pressure of keeping pace with an entire group, allowing them to learn with confidence and purpose. At the same time, students who excel academically are encouraged to move ahead and reach higher levels of achievement without unnecessary limitations.
